Dr. Baxter grew up in a small coastal community in New Brunswick. She pursued a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Queen’s University. While there, she found her passion for clinical neuroscience and began down a career path toward neurology. She obtained her medical degree at Dalhousie University. She went on to complete her neurology residency and multiple sclerosis fellowship, both at the University of Calgary. She currently lives in Nanaimo with her young family, and they enjoy the outdoors oriented lifestyle that Vancouver Island has to offer. She is delighted to offer general neurology consultations in the community. She also runs a hospital-based Multiple Sclerosis Clinic and Acute Neurology Clinic, both at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.
